Sewing.

I've been busy doing personal stuff, well we all have lives to live right? But also I've done like 6 sewing projects, cross stitch and embroidery works, even a watercolor commission (I don't do commissions but it was done for a friend). All these tasks leaded me to not sketching and therefore less posting in my blog lately.

Sometimes when I sew I take over the dining table with sewing stuff for the lack of a designated area for sewing. I leave them there until I finish which it may take several days to finish the project. I needed a space in my studio dedicated to my sewing projects. It turned out I had a wine rack in the garage ready to give away but it clicked in my mind it could be useful for my sewing hobby. I moved the piece into my studio, it fit perfectly for sewing and now I can store my portable sewing machine, sewing kit and iron together in it. I did a small sketch of this achievement.

Here is one of the projects I did.
The next photo is one the pieces in the Centro de Textiles del Mundo Maya museum in San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico. I opened out one of the drawers to see this piece which I used as an inspiration.

The finished piece. Ta-dah!
