Procreate app round #2

Digital sketch Procreate app
I’m getting familiar with this app. I’m still checking on tutorials online to learn specific tricks like how to pick up a color already on the sketch. Still struggling with layers. Like anything else the more you practice the fastest you learn. It was fun to do this  sketch though, once I got confidence using this app I lost track of time, a sign that I’m enjoying it.

Sewing.

I've been busy doing personal stuff, well we all have lives to live right? But also I've done like 6 sewing projects, cross stitch and embroidery works, even a watercolor commission (I don't do commissions but it was done for a friend). All these tasks leaded me to not sketching and therefore less posting in my blog lately.
Pencil and watercolor on Laloran sketchbook  5.5 x 5.5 in

Sometimes when I sew I take over the dining table with sewing stuff for the lack of a designated area for sewing. I leave them there until I finish which it may take several days to finish the project. I needed a space in my studio dedicated to my sewing projects. It turned out I had a wine rack in the garage ready to give away but it clicked in my mind it could be useful for my sewing hobby. I moved the piece into my studio, it fit perfectly for sewing and now I can store my portable sewing machine, sewing kit and iron together in it. I did a small sketch of this achievement.

Here is one of the projects I did.
The next photo is one the pieces in the Centro de Textiles del Mundo Maya museum in San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico. I opened out one of the drawers to see this piece which I used as an inspiration.

The finished piece. Ta-dah!

Bingo

Pen&Ink and Daniel Smith watercolors on Laloran sketchbook 5.5" x 5.5 "
I volunteered to help friends in a Bingo event they organized for their church at St. Joseph Park last month. I helped by collecting money from players for bingo boards. My husband and a close friend came with me and played bingo. Bob won $ 29 dollars in one run, it happened so fast. I was happy for him. After bingo was over, we headed to the ice cream shop, I order a banana split, it tasted so good, and because it was unexpected earned money, it tasted better! Ha!
